How Nigerian Soldiers Used Captured Boko Haram Members To Lure Shekau To Death

Full gists of how Abubakar Shekau, the impostor and leader of the Boko Haram terrorist group lost his left in a shootout with Nigerian troops in Konduga on Wednesday Sept. 17 emerged with military sources disclosing that he met his Waterloo in an ambush reminiscent of the type the sect had been using to hack down Nigerian troops.

It was gathered that when the first attack on Konduga whereby hundreds of insurgents were taken unawares and killed after over seven hours of fighting and several of their colleagues, arms and ammunition captured, the military commanders strategically urged his captured members to send a message to Shekau that they (insurgents) have routed the troops.

Before the captured insurgents were urged to make the contact and deliver the message, the military commanders had promised them that their cooperation would play a role in the level of punishment to be meted to them after the battle hence they felt reassured.

Also, the captured insurgents had disclosed that Shekau usually moved in a convoy of cars painted in military colours while he sits in a MOWAG Armoured tank with Boko Haram inscription on its front.

When Shekau was contacted, his captured men spoke to him in Arabic, assuring him that they had taken over Konduga, thereby giving him the all clear to proceed from Sambisa Forest. To convince him further, a set of his men captured were told to sing the victory song in Kanuri language they normally sing at the background.

Having convinced himself that the messenger was his chief courier in such situation and the message is authentic, he and his followers made for Konduga, heavily armed with Anti-Aircraft weapons, General Purpose Machine Guns, several AK 47 rifles and other IEDS'.

However, on entering Konduga town, he and his followers were encircled by strategically placed and heavily armed Nigerian soldiers. Immediately he contacted the messenger and discovered that something was amiss, he ordered his followers to start shooting in all direction.

This spurred the Army Commanders to give the directive to open fire. When he discovered that the fire power of the Nigerian Army who used both Infantry and Artillery weaponry was overpowering that of his men, he jumped out of the MOWAG and made to escape.

But eagle-eyed Nigerian Soldiers spotted him and opened fire in him, shattering his legs in the process. It was learnt that he also received bullet wounds in other parts of his body leading to his bleeding to death.

Recall that Military sources had earlier disclosed that Nigerian troops scored a strategic victory in the current battle against terrorists operating in the North East on September 17.

The sources noted that during a desperate attempt to capture Konduga in their delusion to eventually marching on and capturing Maiduguri, the man who had been mimicking Late Abubakar Shekau in recent videos was feared to have been finally killed.

The sources said, "It is getting more certain that the terrorists' Commander who has been mimicking Shekau in those videos is the one killed in Konduga on September 17, 2014."
Affirming the development, PRNigeria sources said the suspected demise of the Boko Haram leader is responsible for the scattering of the sect members in different independent locations in the neighbouring countries, especially in Cameroon noticed in recent days.

The security sources noted further that "the process of confirming that the dead body we have is the same as that character who has been posing as Shekau is ongoing" adding "He is definitely a prominent terrorist commander. I don't want to say anything about this yet please."

Another high ranking military source insisted that the resemblance is too striking to be a coincidence.

"They cited his facial marks, beards and teeth apart from the recovery by the Nigerian troops of some of the Armoured Vehicles and Hilux jeeps that had featured in previous videos of the prime suspect.

"The officers assured that the Defence Headquarters will soon address the nation after full investigation of their latest discovery".

The political rise of Robert Mugabe’s wife, Grace

The birth of a dynasty is not an easy thing to predict. But many Zimbabweans now seem preoccupied by the tantalising possibility that the Mugabes are seeking to join the list – admittedly a shrinking list – of families who have managed to pass the reins of power across the dinner table.

President Robert Mugabe is 90. His second wife, Grace, is 49.

Succession speculation has been a constant theme for years in Zimbabwe, but Grace Mugabe has only recently emerged as a possible contender.

Outsiders are likely to have heard of the president's former secretary in exclusively dubious terms – for her allegedly extravagant shopping habits; for the incident when she punched a British journalist in Hong Kong; and other alleged excesses.

Zimbabwe's state media, by contrast, have sought to highlight her devotion to charity work.

The notion of a "President Grace" first gained currency in August when Mrs Mugabe – a political novice – was unexpectedly endorsed as the next leader of the governing Zanu-PF's Women's League – a powerful role – to be confirmed at the party's congress in December.

Fuel was added to the fire this month when the first lady became Dr Mugabe – awarded a PhD in sociology just two months after enrolling at the University of Zimbabwe, and with her thesis curiously absent from the institution's online archives.

When I rang up Zanu-PF's spokesman Rugare Gumbo for his analysis of Mrs Mugabe's embryonic political career, it quickly became clear that the topic was an uncomfortable one.

"Please no… I'm not answering anything related to that… Come on, you can't ask me why not," said Mr Gumbo rather briskly.
So what is going on?

There are – appropriately enough for such a tale of palace intrigue – multiple theories.
The most down-to-earth analysis holds that Mrs Mugabe has no chance of being president, and is being used by one faction within Zanu-PF.

"It's very easy to explain. She's been brought in as a means to stop Joyce Mujuru by any means," said the veteran political commentator Ibbo Mandaza.

Vice-President Mujuru is seen as a leading contender to succeed President Mugabe.
The theory goes that her long-standing rival, Emmerson Mnangagwa, is promoting Mrs Mugabe as a short-term ploy to sideline Mrs Mujuru.

"When her husband goes, that's the end of her political career if there's such a career at all," said Mr Mandaza, blithely dismissing the notion of a Mugabe dynasty.

The next theory is that President Mugabe is promoting his wife primarily in order to keep all the Zanu-PF factions off-balance, and to strengthen his own position.

Mr Mugabe's critics call her "Gucci Grace" and accuse her of lavish spending
Along with her husband, Mrs Mugabe is subject to EU and US sanctions, including travel bans

Celebrated by Mr Mugabe's supporters for her charitable work, Grace Mugabe founded an orphanage in Mazowe, central Zimbabwe
Dewa Mavhinga, from Human Rights Watch, believes the president has made a serious mistake by bringing in someone with no political pedigree whatsoever.

"It shows that President Mugabe doesn't trust anyone around him. I think he was under pressure to control the factions and extend his own stay in office, but it was a major miscalculation and exposed him for the first time if you see how the factions are now fighting openly in the media," said Mr Mavhinga.

But there is another, less intrigue-driven analysis of Mrs Mugabe's abrupt arrival on the political stage.

Simba Makoni, a former Zanu-PF minister who ran for the presidency as an independent against Mr Mugabe in 2008, believes people are too quick to reject the possibility of a dynasty.

"Grace is poised to lead the Women's League… in December. That is a given. And my hunch is she is not going to end there, realising how easy it has been for her to get to there in such a short time," said Mr Makoni.

"So I would say watch this space – there will be more happening."

It is tempting to argue that a dynasty is an expression of political power – proof that President Mugabe still has the authority to impose his will on Zanu-PF and Zimbabwe.

But you could argue the exact opposite – that here is a man who, after three decades in power, can trust no-one outside his immediate family.

Group advise Buhari to drop presidential ambition

A youth group, Kwakwasiyyya Forum, has appealed to General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) to forget about his presidential ambition and back a younger aspirant for the same purpose.

Kwakwasiyya believes that the ambitions of the duo of General Buhari and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar may tear APC apart if they insist in fighting for the ticket of the party.

Speaking in Abuja yesterday through its Edo state coordinator, Comrade Francis Ikonomwan, the pro-Kwankwaso group said they have started working round the clock to reach out to the delegates and ensure that the interest of the people which is Governor Kwankwaso emerge as the APC presidential flag bearer.

"We want a paradigm shift, we want a change from old order and this is why people are clamouring for a realistic change. We have looked at the record and Kwankwaso is the man that actually meets the demand of the people.

"For Alhaji Atiku, he has lost integrity, you may see people around him and they are hired crowd. Nigerians don't want him. For General Buhari, he is a man we use to respect, he is a man Nigerians holds in a high esteem, but we are surprised that he will be declaring next week, remember he told us after the 2011 elections that he will not contest again and we expect him to stick to his words as a man of integrity, if he contest again that shows that he is no longer a man of integrity.

"I want to say that ambitions of Atiku and General Buhari will tear APC apart, what is best for them is to come behind a younger person and no other person than Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso."

The group appealed to the leaders of the APC not to give room for imposition of candidates at all levels, saying such act is capable of ruining the fortune of the party.

Mimiko’s defection: Olajumoke heads transition c’ttee

AHEAD of the public declaration of Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the National Secretariat of the party has inaugurated a seven member committee to work out a smooth movement of the governor and other Labour Party, LP, chieftains to the PDP.

Governor Mimiko is expected to defect publicly next month in an elaborate ceremony that will attract President Goodluck Jonathan, the NWC members of the Party and PDP governors .

Members of the committee led by a PDP Board of Trustees member of the party in the state, Dr Bode Olajumoke has representatives from the three Senatorial Districts of the state.

Other committee members include former governorship candidate of the party in the state, Chief Olusola Oke, former Defence Minister, Tokunbo Kayode and the Special Adviser to the President on Amnesty Affairs, Mr. Kingsly Kuku.

Also included are former Information Commissioner in the state, Dr Eddy Olafeso, former council chairman and the PDP National Youth leader, Dennis Alonge-Niyi.
It was gathered at the weekend that the much talked about 60:40 or 70:30 sharing of political positions in favour of the governor and his party members is a ruse.

Speaking with newsmen in Ikare area of the state, a chieftain of the Party and a member of the Committee, Hon Gbenga Elegbeleye said the committee has commenced work.

Elegbeleye said that the committee is expected to liaise with the Presidency and the National Secretariat of the Party on the planned defection.

He confirmed that the committee is working out a smooth transition that would be beneficial to both sides.

Elegbeleye who is the Director General of National Sports Commission, NSC, described the speculation that certain ratio of political offices had been conceded to the governor as 'mere street talk.'

The DG however described the governor's planned movement to PDP as a blessing, adding that the party in the state is sure of garnering the highest number of votes for President Goodluck Jonathan in the South West come next year's polls.

Elegbeleye noted that the imminent move will finally end the struggle for supremacy by PDP and LP in the state.

"Both parties will now join forces to fight a common enemy in subsequent elections in the state,'' he said.

Phase I Benin-Ore Road Commissioned By President Jonathan

During the weekend in Benin, Edo State, President Goodluck Jonathan, commissioned the Phase I of the Benin-Ofusu-Ore Road, with a promise to ensure that the next phase to Lagos was completed soon.

"We have intervened in a number of highways and we must fix the roads. We are committed. We must return our roads to class A roads across the country," he said.

He promised that his administration was also focusing on rail and aviation, adding that the Federal Government decided to set up a Maritime University to train Nigerians in that sector.

On his part, Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, hails the Federal Government's effort in reconstructing the road as "the most outstanding intervention the road has witnessed over the years.

"What we are seeing is the outcome of a meticulous design and the appointment of a competent contractor," Oshiomhole said, describing the Minister of Works, Mr. Mike Onolememen, as an architect that not only designs but one that translates his designs into reality.

He described the road to be central of economic life to people of Edo State and the entire South-South, adding that it would attract investment opportunities to the state.

"In Edo, the people belong to a bigger party, the Federal Republic of Nigeria party. This is why you will see people decamping from left to right, right to left but no one can decamp from the Federal Republic of Nigeria. That's what unites us," he said.

Earlier, the Minister of Works, Onolememen, said that the Phase I of the project was 75 km long and that Phase II suffered a setback because of funding and technical challenges.
He said the project has, however, recorded over 60 percent completion, adding that 61 other roads have been completed across the country.

Why I want to be President in 2015, by Kwankwaso

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso says he wants to become Nigeria's President in 2015 to enable him use his requisite experience to address the fundamental socio-economic challenges facing Nigeria.

Kwankwaso, who spoke with journalists last night in Kano, pointed out that he had been studying the problems facing the country over the years and had come to the conclusion that he possesses the requisite experience and expertise to tackle the issues and give Nigerians and Nigeria a new lease of life.

He explained that given his rich background as a long-standing public servant, an engineer and a one-time Defence Minister, he truly understands what the country needs in order to become great among the comity of nations.

The governor said the country needed someone like him, who had seen the nation from various angles to be able to solve its problems and advance the interest of Nigerians at all levels.

The governor said that although he was still consulting with other stakeholders across the length and breadth of Nigeria on his next political move, he would make a formal declaration for the presidential contest at the appropriate time.

Kwankwaso said that more than anything else, the worsening security threat to Nigeria and the seeming inability of the administration to address it were unacceptable as it had driven away over four million Nigerians into Chad, Niger Republic and Cameroun as refugees.

"The situation is so bad that apart from those displaced by the insurgents, many other Nigerians have been hospitalised while others have gone into hiding just to save their lives, while the system continues to give assurance of victory," the governor lamented.

"So many Nigerians have also been displaced in Chibok, Gwoza and Bama as well as other places in the country. This is not a good thing for Nigeria and we need to rise up and find a lasting solution to the problem, which is not beyond us.

"A situation whereby Nigeria's leadership is encouraging division is not good for the unity of Nigeria. We should stop abusing the very people we are supposed to protect and give them a sense of hope and dignity," Kwankwaso noted.

The governor said that in a bid to give his state a new lease of life, his administration had undertaken major infrastructural projects including three major flyover bridges, major roads and water projects across the state in addition to establishing 23 big dams for water and energy supply.

He pointed out that in a bid to rid Kano of malevolent elements and reduce criminality, his administration, working in league with security agents had constantly been raiding black spots in the metropolis, including the Sabongari Market, which he described as the biggest drug market in Kano.

According to Kwankwaso, illicit drugs worth N4 billion had been seized from the market and destroyed by security agents in the last three years in a bid to flush out the couriers from the state.

The governor said that the All Progressives Congress, where he crossed over to last December from the ruling PDP, was working hard to ensure that it wins the next election convincingly and use the opportunity to move the country forward

IGI CEO, dies in US

See You In Hell! Words Of A Killer With Devil Horns To Jury After Triple Murder Conviction

A Murder with devil's horns implanted in his head yelled "I'll see you all in hell" at a jury after they found him guilty of first degree murder.

Caius Veiovis, 34, of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, faces life in jail after being found guilty of three counts of murder, intimidation of a witness and kidnapping.

Authorities say Veiovis kidnapped and killed three Pittsfield men: David Glasser, 44; Edward Frampton, 58, and Robert Chadwell, 47. The victims were last seen on August 28, 2011 at an apartment shared by Glasser and Frampton. Continue after the cut.

After the verdict was delivered on Friday, Veiovis reportedly told the jurors, "I will see you all in hell," according to tweets sent by reporters in the courtroom.

Officials said the men had been killed to prevent Glasser from testifying against an associate of Veiovis who was facing kidnapping and drug charges.

First-degree murder convictions carry a mandatory life sentence without parole in Massachusetts. The verdict came after jurors deliberated for more than 36 hours over six days at Hampden Superior Court in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Veiovis, also known as Roy Gutfinski, appears in photos in court documents with forehead implants that resemble horns, as well as tattoos on his face.

His attorney, James Gavin Reardon, said he respected the jury's decision, but that an appeal would be filed.

"The overriding question, other than the lack of physical evidence against him, is to what extent does his appearance affect people, and that's something that's hard to measure," he said.

He said Veiovis' outburst in court was "just some understandable emotional reaction" because his client had been in solitary confinement for more than three years and a small holding cell for the past three weeks.

15 Years Of Adulterous Endurance: In Defence Of Anita Oyakhilome

Anita Oyakhilome, the frustrated wife of Nigeria's most flamboyant preacher, Chris Oyakhilome has obviously passed through 15 years of adulterous endurance and what she needs is our prayers and protective respect and defense of her choices to forget all the anti-rhapsody of heartbreak she endured all these years.

Fifteen (15) years of being abandoned by a preacher husband is not an easy way of life for a preacher's wife. Fifteen (15) years of hearing that some mini skirted daughters of Jezebel have taken over your possession is not a joke. Fifteen years of a husband not staying with the wife for up to a week on a stretch, while spending time with some double breasted figure eight(ed) daughters of eve is not an easy thing to swallow. 15 years of being used as a showcase to make church members believe in Rhapsodies of Blissful Union, while dying in silence, is not a palatable experience for any woman.

Fifteen years of being called Mama, Mummy, and other glorified names of Senior Pastor's wife while some domestic harems sneer at the same Mummy behind is not a sweet experience. For goodness sake, this woman never probably had a good kiss in fifteen years and yet she is being accused of carnality for crying out loud.

She was continually being led into temptation of seeking for sexual satisfaction from outside for fifteen years and she managed to escape the traps of sin.

Fifteen years when their two lovely daughters would wake up and ask their mother why Dad had not cared to visit, and she would have to release a lie to stave off the frequent probing questions. Above all, fifteen years when Anita had to fake that all is well with their marriage, while she is actually dying emotionally. Every person she complained to among the pastoral cadre sided with the man, and she was left alone to bear her cross.
I warned some pastor friends with Christ Embassy early 2013 that they had better settle this marriage rift between Oga and his wife before it destroys the church. The same pastors have called me to express regret that a national embarrassment has ensued.

This woman has been called Jezebel by some pastors and members of the church. Some claimed she was disrespectful while others claimed she was always bitter of recent.

They have tried to castigate her before members of the church who came in private to ask for the way out. She was described as unreasonable and insubordinate.

Her husband, according to news reports has even followed to cast her in bad light. According to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, "Bitterness is prolonged and accumulated anger. My wife is always angry and bitter," Going further he told his members to "Be careful of the friends you keep. My wife keeps friends who bring out the worst in her and help her see the worst in people, instead of keeping friends that will help her vision, especially as the wife of a global pastor like me."

Please, which preacher woman who has been abandoned for fifteen years will not be bitter and angry? Was Anita expected to clap and dance while some hot legs are parading around the White House?

This pastor's wife was also disclaimed by her husband who told his congregants in reaction to the divorce saga that Anita is not necessarily a Woman of God. According to Pastor Oyakhilome"Don't act like those people. If you are married to a man of God, it doesn't make you automatically mature. You can make mistakes; you can do something that is wrong. But some people expect the wife of a minister to definitely be at the level of that minister and so they may be looked upon and the expectation may be like that, but it's a positional thing". He clarified his theory by saying that"If a man of God is married, it doesn't automatically mean that the wife of a man of God is therefore a woman of God. That's not the way it is in the Bible." Pastor Chris also added that "That's why you don't really find the wives of men of God mentioned in the Bible. How many of them? Who was Peter's wife, did you ever know her name? You never find that out. Who was John's wife? Did you ever read the name?
What about all the other Apostles? How many of their names are written in the Bible. You never find their names."

Anita Oyakhilome actually proved that she has fear of God in the manner she worded her divorce plea. She opted to use the word "inappropriate relationship with female staff members" instead of out rightly accusing her husband of adultery. According to the statement, "the wife has discussed with the husband his appropriate relationship with some of his female staff members. She has explained that this has given her cause for concern. The husband has minimised her worries and taken no step to alleviate her grievances."

Anita Oyakhilome could have said that her husband abandoned her and ran into the arms of sister A or B, or gospel singer C or D and left her roasting and murmuring in the house. Anita could have said that her husband is a hypocrite who says a thing and means another, but she veiled her grievances of years of abandonment by saying in the divorce file that "The wife feels that she has been used to portray and enhance the husband's image as a family man when the reality is that there is no existing relationship between them. She feels that she has been present for official functions simply for his convenience. On occasions she has been copied into his travel itinerary which has been given to him by his staff on a need to know basis". "The wife has tried to discuss her concerns with the husband. He claims that she is carnal and he is insensitive to her feelings and her needs."

Thus Anita had acted with much restraint in order to preserve the integrity of Christ Embassy and the work of evangelism, and all she got for her discretion was hate messages all many sections of church members who wanted her to sacrifice her marriage to keep them in a rhapsody of deceit.

This woman, according to the testimony of many British residents who attend their church, is one person who is always willing to give gifts to the needy. She is ever ready to counsel people and does not breed class. She is a patient listener who laboriously introduced many things in the church for which the glory goes to her husband. Londoners believe that she is not that demon they want to portray her as. Those who know her closely have attested to an affectionate good naturedness and stickler for details.
Whatsoever thing some misguided church members want to think, Anita had lived a lie for many years. Anita was said to have became born again at believers Loveworld campus fellowship at Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, while Chris was the pastor. She had probably paid her dues as a Christian and knows what it is to deceive the congregation. She cannot deceive herself and the church anymore thus she opted for divorce. Divorce, according to scripture is unbiblical, but between deceiving a congregation that already knows the truth but pretends otherwise and staying in unfulfilled marriage, which is better. It is a matter between her and her conscience.

Last year, a Nigerian personality blogger by name Ese Walter was lured by her Senior Pastor in Abuja into a cozy hotel bed space in London and after two weeks of adultery, the man cleaned up, returned to Nigeria and told his congregation to shout some Hallelujah. The sin partner was arrested by the Holy Spirit and she sought a meeting with the COZA Chief to resolve the burden of guilt. She was continually shunned and described as agent of satan even by other senior pastors in the church until she turned the internet into the confessional. Ese Walter freed her conscience and probably escaped eternal damnation but the entire Christendom took the brunt of the exposure.

Pope Benedict made several attempts to stop the incidences of homosexual pedophiles among priest and leaders in the Vatican.
His attempts were rebuffed by a cabal of officials who resisted probe and pious change. In exasperation, the Pontiff abandoned the Papacy and triggered the change that is being forced down on the resisting cabal. Pope Benedict freed his conscience and left with clean records before his God.

Anita has chosen to free herself from a life of deceit and lies. The truth had set her free. However, I still counsel her that if the misbehaving preacher husband demonstrates a verifiable change of heart, she should consider him back and so that somebody can shout some more Hallelujah.

Fifteen years of adulterous endurance in the midst of charismatic rhapsody is not easy and Anita Oyakhilome sure needs all the defense and understanding she can get.

Buhari, Atiku Clash Ahead 2015

Two strong Presidential aspirants under the platform of the main opposition party, All Progressives Congress, APC, at the weekend clashed.

Vanguard reported that, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and former vice-president Atiku Abubakar, shared divers opinion over the procedure for adopting the 2015 presidential candidate for the party.

It was gathered that at the end of the party's National Executive Committee, NEC meeting last weekend, the party was unable to compromise on the issue as supporters of the major aspirants held strongly to their positions.

Aside Buhari and Atiku, who were reportedly at the head of the major divisions over the adoption of a consensus or the conduct of primaries for the adoption of the presidential candidate, Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwanso and Sam Nda-Isaiah were also indifferent on the subject matter.

Meanwhile, Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, whose aide was at the meeting was reported to have been mute on the issue since the governor is yet to officially declare his intention to run for president.

According to a source within the party, Buhari and his supporters want a consensus on the ground that majority of the party positions across board were filled with consensus. They posted that if the consensus arrangement is jettisoned for any reason that a direct primary involving all 18 million registered members of the party be held.

However, their opinion is strongly opposed by Atiku's associates within the party hierarchy who claimed that a direct primary would be cumbersome and costly. Atiku's supporters proposed what it called a Modified Direct Primary that would involve about 20,000 delegates choosing the party candidate.

"The decision of our campaign to support the Modified Direct Primary is not because of anything but for its practical applicability. If you say you want direct primary, how can you get all 18 million registered APC voters to take part? That would mean you will be setting up a vote in every polling booth, doing the same thing as INEC is doing. It will be the same thing as a general election. Where do you have the resources, the manpower, the time and the security support for this?"Atiku said.

Buhari and his allies who negated the proposal alleged that it would offer opportunity to easily woo or take over delegates hitherto pledged to other aspirants.
They claimed that the introduction of full direct primary would limit the prospect of Atiku wooing the delegates unlike a modified primary that could see Atiku and his agents now in the field winning the number of delegates.

"Having carefully examined our great party" the APC constitution, especially Article 20 and the Electoral Act 2010, one comes to the inevitable conclusion that it is better to adopt consensus in electing our candidates for House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, Governor and presidential candidates and where it fails to adopt direct primary,"one of Buhari's supporters who did not want his name in print said.

It said when one considers the bitterness, rancour and bad blood indirect primary will most likely generate, it was safer to work towards a consensual agreement, adding that more than 80% of the ward, local government area and state congresses which produced the current executives of the party were conducted through consensual arrangement as well as more than 95% of the current National Executive Committee who were also elected via consensus.

"We must at all times bear in mind that we are being hunted and that those who boasted to rule Nigeria for 60 years uninterrupted, are still hell bent to scuttle the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians for genuine ideological regime change"he said.

It would be recalled that former vice president Atiku Abubakar, on September 24, 2014 formally declare to run for the 2015 presidential electionon the platform of APC, while Buhari is yet to officially do so although his posters are already floating in the street of Lagos.

If I Were Linda Ikeji, Why I Wouldn’t Buy A Range Rover Sport With $153,000!

On Tuesday, 16th September 2014, popular Nigerian blogger Linda Ikeji posted on her blog her latest luxury toy; a brand new 2014 Range Rover Sport Supercharged. According to her, this cost a whopping sum of N24m [$153,000]!

This is not her first car by the way, this is her 3rd car following a 2011 Infiniti FX 35 [N8m] and a 2008 Toyota Camry. Conservatively, her 3 cars cost N36m [$228,000], not bad for a blogger right?

The Value of Money

Anyone is free to spend their money however they want.

But stop to think about this, would Linda Ikeji be able to buy these cars if Larry Page and Sergey Brin hadn't invented Google the company that created the free blogging platform she uses?

Would Linda Ikeji be able to buy these cars if Andy Bechtolsheim the first venture capitalist who funded Google's startup with $100,000 had gone ahead to buy a Range Rover Sport for $153,000?

Would Linda Ikeji be able to buy these cars if Larry Page and Sergey Brin had used the money they created blogspot with to buy a Range Rover Sport?

As a matter of fact, Larry Page whose net worth is $32.1 Billion doesn't own a luxury car as much as Linda Ikeji. His 3 automobiles valued at $137,000 are all environmentally friendly products;

Toyota Prius, a hybrid electric mid-size hatchback. It is among the most clean cars of the world based on smog formation and vehicular emissions. This was the world's first mass produced gasoline-electric hybrid car. $20,000

Tesla Roadster, a Battery Electric Vehicle sports car. It has the distinction of being the first all-electric vehicle in serial production. Larry Page is also a key investor in the firm and thus was one of the buyer of this car. $109, 000

Zero X motorbike, an Electric Vehicle from Zero Motorcycles, which you can get for just under US $ 8,000.

On the other hand, Sergey Brin, who has a net worth of $ 30.7 Billion, like his partner, also doesn't own a luxury car as much as Linda Ikeji. His 2 automobiles valued at $129,000, are all environmentally friendly products; a Toyota Prius [$20,000] and a Tesla Roadster [$109,000].

As Africans, we have a very funny way of utilizing wealth. Unlike our western counterparts, who see wealth as a tool for the creation of more wealth and more good in the world, we see wealth as a tool for luxury.

We make money to 'show off', to make a statement that we have arrived. Our appetite for extravagancy increases as our wealth increases. We suddenly forget how we once survived without all these luxurious toys and completely lose all senses of moderation.

One luxury car doesn't seem to be enough; we keep reaching out for more as more money comes in. we decorate our garage with expensive toys that are tying down valuable resources that ought to be utilized for the creation of more wealth and more good in the world.

This is the same mentality common amongst our politicians as well as religious leaders. The open display of wealth and excessive accumulation of luxury toys are all evident around us. And yet we keep on complaining that our economies are not growing. We keep on wondering when Africa will measure up with the rest of the world.

How can we ever measure up when all we do with wealth is to spend it wastefully on consumables rather than re-invest it on wealth creating opportunities. Rather than use of wealth to create Venture Capital firms that will empower startups with seed funds, we spend them on luxury toys that does no one good but our selfish selves!

To Whom Much Is GIVEN, Much Is Expected
That Linda Ikeji rose to such level of affluence while using a free blogging platform that some other entrepreneurs created with their wealth, is enough reason for her to tread wisely.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with her first 2 cars, they were high profile cars already. Going as much as spending $153,000 for a 3rd car, was purely wasteful for someone with her humble beginnings. You would think she should be more considerate with money.

Less than the amount she spent on her 2014 Range Rover Sport, $100,000 was the seed capital that built Google into a global $395 Billion brand that employs over 50,000 people worldwide. If they didn't use this money wisely, Linda Ikeji won't be making that much from blogging for free.

Recently, on the 12th of September, the same Google offers $100,000 cloud credit for startups in order to create more success stories to add to its portfolio.

The point of this essay is simple, that you have so much is not a justification to waste so much. With the same amount you waste on luxury items, is what others have changed the world with.

It is true that wealth reveals our true nature. The wise become wiser as their wealth grows. The generous gives more as their wealth grows. The greedy acquires more as their wealth grows. In the end, to whom much is given, much is expected!

Conclusion: Linda Ikeji Needs To Stop Showing Off!

As entrepreneurs, we are not like the folks in the entertainment industry who flaunt their toys every now and then. We have a higher responsibility to make better use of the resources at our disposal. Business is an institution of society and the society depends on us entrepreneurs for the consistent creation of products/services that push humanity forward.

Entrepreneurship is not showbiz.
Entrepreneurship is not about being a celebrity. Entrepreneurship is about leaving a legacy. Real entrepreneurs change the world by doing stuffs that MATTER. They are too busy making a difference. No time for paparazzi!

Meet Pastor Yemisi, The Lady Who Replaced Pastor Anita Oyakhilome On Rhapsody Of Realities

The name of Rev. Anita and her picture have finally been removed from Christ Embassy's number one devotional, Rhapsody of Realities, a publication she co-authors with her husband, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.

Before now, there have been stories that her name has been removed from the daily devotional, however reports gathered indicates that it is only the October edition that her name and pictures were removed.

Before the latest development, her picture and that of her husband, Chris, adorned the front cover but it is now Chris Oyakhilome alone, and the back page that usually had the couple's pictures has equally been edited, with no trace of Pastor Anita's picture in the whole book from page 1 to page 31.

Among the reasons said to have been raised in the on going divorce issue is that of Rhapsody of Realities. While we cannot adduce a reason for the removal of her name and picture from the daily devotional, the issue has however raised some questions needing answers.

The new October edition of the Rhapsody of Realities, which is a special edition specifically dedicated to celebrating Nigeria's Independence (Independence Edition) is already out and given free to church worshippers and non-worshippers alike. The book is sold in over 42 countries of the world and its translated into over 402 languages.

This took effect from the October edition which is already out among members. However, what may interest many who have been following the story of their crashed marriage is the fact there is a highly respected female church member, a Pastor precisely, who now plays a very key role in the Believers' LoveWorld Nation, an umbrella body that is in charge of the publication of Rhapsody of Realities.

The lady at the helm of the affairs is Miss Yemisi Kudehinbu, a name that rings a bell among every Christ Embassy Church Member, on account of how visible and prominent she is, concerning the church affairs.

EXPOSED: See The Man Who Used Oritsejafor's Jet For Cash/Arms Deal, He's Highly Connected

Felix Idiga, The Second Man Behind The $9.3m Cash For Arms Scandal Exposed
In the South East part of Nigeria Felix Idiga is a well known man.

This is on account of his emergence as one of new breed billionaires from that region. That he is also close to the Christian Association of Nigeria president, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor might be stating the obvious. After all, the man of God sits on same board of about two companies with Idiga. One of such is Swat Nigeria and Eagle Air Nigeria.

Idiga, said to be the chief executive officer of JAFAC group, is into construction with the NDDC (Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC) as it's major customer. Those who know this fellow say he made chunk of his money through his association with the top shots of NDDC and major militants in the South-South. Sources say he was allegedly involved in oil bunkering along with emergency money bags like Scott Tommey and Delta based Ayeri.

Hence with the news broke that his name was traced to the funds scuttled by the South African police, those who know him well were not too surprised based on his antecedents. Of recent he dumped the Imo governor to pitch tent with the ruling party PDP just like Ali Modu Sheriff to pursue his senatorial ambition in IMO. According to the revelation, the private jet with a US registration number N808HG was one of two jets cited by South African officials on September 5 and is owned by Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor. The second is a jet registered with the name Felix Idiga, the owner of Jafac Limited. Mr. Oritsejafor's jet arrived South Africa with $9.3 million cash loaded in several suitcases meant for the purchase of arms and ammunitions.

Investigations have confirmed that under the South African laws, a person entering or leaving the country is expected to carry cash not exceeding R25, 000 (about US$2, 300), or the equivalent in foreign currency notes. Also, arms usually involve a complex bank transfer system needed to move the money between the countries involved in the deal; they are rarely done in cash.

This contravention of the South African law and other laws governing the movement of cash and the purchase of arms and ammunitions proves that the intended transaction was illegal and is possibly intended to smuggle arms to Nigerian to continue to equip terrorists in the North, pirates and militants in the Niger Delta and other forms of insurgence in Nigeria.

Meet Doctor, Dr. Gobee Logan Who Has Successfully Treated Ebola With HIV Drug

We are Africans, we make things happen with little resources. He is a doctor in rural Liberia, but has achieved good results out of desperation after he was inundated with Ebola patients, using an HIV drug.

CNN reports that Dr. Gobee Logan had given the drug, lamivudine, to 15 Ebola patients, and all but two survived. That's a 7% mortality rate.

Outside Dr. Logan's Ebola center in Tubmanburg, four of his recovering patients walk the grounds, always staying inside the fence that separates the Ebola patients from everyone else.

"My stomach was hurting; I was feeling weak; I was vomiting," Elizabeth Kundu, 23, says of her bout with the virus. "They gave me medicine, and I'm feeling fine. We take it, and we can eat -- we're feeling fine in our bodies."
Kundu and the other 12 patients who took the lamivudine and survived, received the drug in the first five days or so of their illness.

The two patients who died received it between days five and eight.

Dr. Logan said: "I'm sure that when [patients] present early, this medicine can help. I've proven it right in my center."

Logan is mindful that lamivudine can cause liver and other problems, but he says it's worth the risk since Ebola is so deadly. He also knows American researchers will say only a real study can prove effectiveness. That would involve taking a much larger patient population and giving half of them lamivudine and the other half a placebo.

"Our people are dying and you're talking about studies?" he said. "It's a matter of doing all that I can do as a doctor to save some people's lives."

Logan said he got the idea to try lamivudine when he read in scientific journals that HIV and Ebola replicate inside the body in much the same way.

"Ebola is a brainchild of HIV," he said. "It's a destructive strain of HIV."

At first he tried an HIV drug called acyclovir, but it didn't seem to be effective. Then he tried lamivudine on a healthcare worker who'd become ill, and within a day or two he showed signs of improvement and survived. Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases says that theoretically, Logan's approach has some merit.

Lamivudine is a nucleocide analog, and other drugs in this class are being studied to treat Ebola.

[MUST READ] Thirteen (13) Advantages Of Virginity

It's a mixture of medical and social advantages.

1. STI / STDs: There is no way a virgin an be infected with Se*ually Transmitted Infections / Diseases

2. HIV-AIDS: There is no way a virgin can have AIDS or HIV infection, which is transmitted by intimate interactions. She may still be at risk with the blood infection through cut skin etc but this last category forms only 5% or less of HIV infections.

3. Unwanted Pregnancies: There is no way a virgin can become pregnant.

4. Falling in love: A virgin does not fall in love with any and all persons ho comes her way the way non-virgin do and therefore make some avoidable mistakes. To most virgins, love is not blind; it has some sense, although it may be a little vision impaired.

5. Lust: Most of the activities of non-virgins are borne out of lust which we shall define here as an exaggeration of the feeling of love to such a point that it becomes closer to hate than love. Most people have seen how those in 'lust' have harmed their objects of affection in the name of jealousy or anger etc. True love is calm and never violent and never wants to harm. What teenagers call 'crush', infatuation' etc are just Unclad lust. And most sexually abnormal behaviors, which tend to inflict harm, are all borne out of lust and not love. Here we define anything abnormal as one that provides more harm to the biology of the individual (that is his true nature), than good.

6. Love: There is a lot of true love in virgin marriages. A woman who marries as a virgin rarely sees, or complains of problems as often as the non-virgin. Sometimes (or most times) in interpersonal relationships, it is our perception of situation that created problems which ordinary do not exist.

7. Getting married: It is difficult to find a virgin who has a problem getting married and usually at very early age which biology teaches is the optimal time for conception and establishing long and lasting relationship. For most female this must be under 25 years. A woman of the age of 27 and above is considered in medical science to be past her prime of having safe first conception.

8. Preparation for marriage: Virgins tend to be better prepared for marriage than non-virgins because of excitement. The non-virgins are worried about the future and have to make conscious effort to let their marriage work if they so wish.

9. Fun: There is lot of fun and excitement for the virgin couple on wedding night. I know a couple he spent two nights trying to break a thick hymen. The bride jokingly told the groom to please hire someone to do it for him if he cannot perform.

10. Respect from Husband: Most men tend to respect virgins throughout their marriage vows. Virgins rarely have break up marriages. I am yet to see a man who will divorce a woman whom he married as a virgin.

11. Intimate deviation: It is difficult to define deviation in intimate behavior but we can say it is any form of intimate behavior that causes biological harm. But it is impossible to see a true virgin involved in any form of intimate behavior that may be considered deviant by any standard.

12. Infertility: It is difficult to find a woman who got married as virgin having problems getting pregnant. Although there may be some born with infertility problem, but the acquired ones are not found in virgins. For example STIs which cause infertility by scarring reproductive organs in both male and female are no found in virgins.

13. Beauty: The beauty of an innocent woman is indescribable. It is like new rose.

Nigerian Troops Capture Monstrous Armored Tank From Boko Haram Insurgents

Armored tank T-55 also known as"Sarge"is prized weapon seized from Boko Haram fighters in Konduga Sahara Reporters Media
Nigerian military intelligence officials say they were surprised at the sophisticated weapons being used by Boko Haram insurgents.

Nigerian military intelligence officials say they were surprised at the sophisticated weapons being used by Boko Haram insurgents. The reaction came after Nigerian troops captured a T-55 armored tank and a highly sophisticate Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) from the Islamist insurgents in a battle yesterday at Konduga, Borno State.

Our sources said Boko Haram fighters made another big and desperate push to take Konduga, a town that has been the scene of incessant battles and disastrous outings for Boko Haram fighters in recent weeks.

Boko Haram began their latest push on Thursday, attacking Konduga from several angles. But when they found out they were getting defeated, some of the Islamist fighters arrived at the scene of battle from the Bama axis with a surprise weapon, a T-55 tank. Our military sources disclosed that the insurgents had never previously used such a mammoth weapon in battle.

The tank and APC were eventually seized from the insurgents after a fierce battle in which soldiers killed more than 100 Boko Haram terrorists. some 15 soldiers were also killed during the firefight that lasted several hours.

The Nigerian army said the seizure of the tank was a major blow to the insurgents. "The sheer power of the tank surprised us. And the tank has camouflage painting that made it blend with the area in a way that it could not have easily been detected by Nigerian jets flying over the area," said a military officer.

SaharaReporters obtained an exclusive photo of the armored tank which was taken to the Maimalari Barracks after its capture.

One of our military sources said that Boko Haram's ownership of the tank shows the extent to which the sect is funded by powerful as well as wealthy supporters and an indication of the strength of the Islamic group's foreign links.

Photos: EFCC Arraigns Two For $91,000 Internet Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, September 26, 2014 arraigned Dandeson Ebosele Ibhonitie, 26, a.k.a Dandy James, Connor Mead and Barrister Louis Harpoch and Ohiwerei Charity, 31, before Justice E. F. Ikponmwen of Edo State High Court, Benin-City on a 3- count charge bordering on conspiracy and obtaining money by false pretence.

Ibhonitie and Charity allegedly belong to the group of fraudsters using the internet to defraud unsuspecting victims.

Ibhonitie allegedly defrauded one Mrs. Weidman Andrea Sabrie, a German, of the sum of $ 91,000 (Ninety-One Thousand United States Dollars) by pretending to be an American working in Nigeria for a road construction company.

To access the proceeds of the fraud, Ibhonitie allegedly opened a domiciliary account in the name of one Mr. Steven. He entered into an agreement with Charity, the account officer that opened the account for him, on how the proceeds from the crime will be shared. By the arrangement, Charity was to keep 3 percent of every inflow to herself while 7 percent will go to Ibhonitie. The remaining 90 percent, by the arrangement, went to Steven. However, investigations showed that Ibhonitie was the same as Steven. When the charges were read to them, they pleaded not guilty.

One of the counts read:

"Dandeson Ebosele Ibhonitie (a.k.a Dandy James, Connor Mead, Barrister Louis Harpoch, Brett Francis Steven (still at large) and Ohiwerei Charity on or about the 2nd day of April, 2014 at Benin within the Benin judicial division, with intent to defraud obtained the sum of USD 45,000.00(Forty Five Thousand United State Dollars) from Mrs. Weidman Andrea Sabrie, a German national through Skye Bank of Nigeria Limited Account No: 2520346555 in the name of Dandy James by falsely pretending to her that the said sum of money represented legal fee for Barrister Louis Harpoch for your defense which pretence you knew to be false".

In view of their pleas, prosecuting counsel, Ayokunle Fayanju, prayed the court for a trial date. He also opposed the bail applications of the defendants.

Justice Ikponmwen adjourned the matter till September, 30, 2014 for hearing of bail applications and ordered that the defendants be remanded in prison custody.

Toyin Aimakhu Is A Chronic Liar- Kemi Filani

I wonder if Toyin really knows what she is doing. Why someone as enlightened as her, will come online to lie about an endorsement deal is beyond me. Haba it's shameful.
So blogger Kemi Filani who was also at the same Airtel event, obviously to cover it, had this unusual encounter with her. Below is how Kemi reports it on her blog. Oga o.

First things first, I can authoritatively tell you that Toyin wasn't paid any N1.5million to attend any wedding and no, she is not Airtel's brand ambassador yet as opined below.

Before I proceed, I have to say this:

I love Toyin, as a matter of fact, I'm one of her biggest fans cos she is simple and "doesn't form" like the other celebrities but I had an usual encounter with her at an event today which made me conclude that she is er- 'razz'.

So here's the gist:

While at an event in Protea Hotel this afternoon, say around 12:50pm, I met Toyin - she was one of the guests at the event which was sponsored by Airtel.

Of course, she looked pretty in her red dress...I particularly loved her jacket and shoes and she looked gentle from afar and had this very pleasant smile for everyone.
However, she kinda showed her true color during lunch at the banquet hall....my table was next to hers so i overheard her discussions.

After serving herself and settling in her seat, she began putting up this 'notice me" attitude with an "accent", saying stuffs like "Oh my God, I need to get out of here as soon as I can (gesticulating with her hands).....Oh i need to call my driver to know where he is (if you are familiar with the "Alakada' movie, then you would be able to picture her gesticulations aright, lol)...this food is ugh!....oh wow, this is good etc" unfortunately peeps on her table said nothing and i tried hard not to laugh at my end.

The best part was when she checked out one of the phones on the table, I think a curve 2, and said "Oh this is a curve 2 yea, it's my favorite and best blackberry model...it's a gooo'd (emphasis on the 'Good') phone yea..." .....at some point, i could almost bet that she was shooting a movie - probably another sequel of her 'hit movie' Alakada - but unfortunately there was no cameraman around, lol.

And then an argument sorta ensued between her and one of the guys seated at her table, i think it had to do with Nollywood and she argued right there - in public!

Come on, Toyin I love you...but being the celebrity that you are, you shouldn't just talk anyhow or er -argue in public like that.

Anyway, Thank God the argument was put off quick and she was like "Oh sorry you guys, i gotta leave now, my dri'vur' (driver) is around and I wouldn't want to keep him waiting...twas fun chatting with you okies, those are the kind of people that would be claiming, Nollywood is not doing well" and then she pleasantly left the hall.

Of course, everyone at the table burst into laughter after she left and you could hear whispers of "That babe is a case sha, choi"....fast forward to fifteen minutes later, I left the hall with my friends, and lo and behold, she was still at the reception - yea, someone that didn't want to keep her driver waiting, lol - and she was chatting with some well suited guys at the event, she was laughing out loud - yea, it's a free world and it's allowed - they were laughing over the N1.5 million report bloggers did about her.

She was like "...oh my, bloggers are.....and just like that, they all just assumed i was paid N1.5million, buhahahahahaaha, it's so funny"......

Yea, she made us believe she was paid N1.5 to emcee at a friend's wedding last weekend with the caption below and we believed it, hook, line and sinker.

Anyway, my friends and I had our laugh and we left the venue some minutes later - but as at when we left, Toyin was still seated at the reception hall (i wondered where her driver went?" #Okbye!)

THE PEACE OF OUR LAND IS NOT NEGOTIABLE

State Broadcast By

His Excellency
Dr. Kayode FAYEMI
Governor, Ekiti State, NIGERIA

Following the Breach of Peace in the State
Friday, September 26, 2014
Protocols
In o kun o Ekiti Kete.

It has BECOME expedient that I address you today on account of dire happenings in the land of honour, Ekiti State. With tension mounting across the state, Ekiti has been the subject of alarming headlines in the news, following the tragic assault on the judiciary.

On Monday, September 22, thugs acting on the incitement of an interested party, were involved in the sacrilegious sacking of the court while hearing on a political case was in progress. This happened in full glare of the law enforcement agents with inappropriate response. Clearly, these brigands exceeded the limits of acceptable behavior, even in the most liberal of democracies, and ventured into the realm of blatant criminality with this desecration of the hallowed chambers of the law.

The fact that this assault did not meet with any strong deterring repercussions from the appropriate authorities further emboldened the miscreants. They subsequently attempted to prevent the Ekiti State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal from sitting, yesterday, Thursday, September 25. I am advised incontrovertibly that thugs acting on the command of Mr. Ayo Fayose, who was also present to lend his clout to the travesty, brazenly assaulted a senior judge and urged his thugs to beat him up and tear his CLOTHES.

The court premises was thrown into confusion and those PRESENTscurried away in search of safety and security. This was on the back of his specious allegation that the judiciary in the state is compromised and biased against him. And the answer to that was to resort to jungle justice and take the laws into his hands. This has led to the closure of the courts indefinitely due to the inability of the security agencies to guarantee the safety of lives and property in our temples of justice. With the entrenched atmosphere of impunity, violence in the state has escalated with the unfortunate loss of one life and the willful damage to several properties to arson by rampaging thugs.

Since the beginning of this development on Monday, which is unprecedented in the recent history of our state, I have been in touch with the Heads of all Security Agencies at the State and Federal levels, urging them to act quickly and firmly in the interest of public law and order. It is worrisome that the slow and inadequate response has occasioned the avoidable escalation of violence in our dear state.

Against this backdrop, it is understandable that not a few stakeholders have expressed concern about what the development portends for our dear state. The brazen contempt of our hallowed law courts and the use of violence and intimidation to obstruct the course of justice is a clear invitation to anarchy of the scale and texture that characterized Ekiti State some years ago. Ekiti Kete, are those years upon us again?
Already, there is widespread anxiety about this development coming at a time the state is going through the transitioning out of one administration and the ushering in of a new one. This is a very delicate period that all stakeholders must work together to ensure Ekiti State comes out stronger for it.

During periods of transition, vital partners in progress adopt a cautious posture, watching for the slightest portents of the possible discontinuity of the regime of peace and tranquility, amongst other factors that have made our state conducive for investors and development partners. We must not disrupt our very bright prospects for sustained development in our state.

Considering the cases that have triggered the recent spate of violence are politically related, the political elite in our state from all disparate quarters must exercise caution. We must rescue our state from the precarious slippery slope that some have desperately pushed us to. We should not imperil the very people we seek to serve by resorting to violence and brigandage. One does not burn down his homestead to establish his claim of ownership or leadership.

Most assuredly, the course of Justice can only be delayed, but can never be truncated. The independence of the Judiciary is an inviolable tenet of any democracy. Accordingly, I have this morning directed the Attorney General of the state to issue a legal advisory to the Chief Judge of the state and all the parties to the existing cases in the State High Court and the Ekiti State Governorship Elections Petitions Tribunal, on the desirability of seeking an alternative venue for the hearing of these cases outside Ekiti State. The State can no longer afford to witness the bizarre spectacle of the beating up of judicial officers and wanton intimidation of lawyers and court personnel.

Now that the security agencies appear to be fully seized of the situation, I call on them not to relent in performing their constitutional role of protecting lives and property in our state. Administrations come and go; politics can be frenetic when the stakes are high; but by the grace of the Almighty God, our state remains for all time, therefore THE PEACE OF OUR LAND IS NOT NEGOTIABLE.

Ekiti Kete, consistent with our history of unity and love, let us work together to make our state a garden of concord where our children and their children will dwell in peace and safety. Even in the pursuit of politics and justice, let us conduct ourselves as kinsmen, bound by a shared love for Ekitiland but differing only in the choice of instruments by which to accomplish the same goal.

Let us then temper our COMPETITIVE zeal with civility and empathy. Let us deal truthfully with our youth, who are so liable to be led astray by unbridled political fervour, by seeing them as our children rather than as conscripts or fodder for our objectives.

Ekiti Kete, in order to forestall further descent into anarchy in our state, I am taking the very difficult decision to suspend the 'Thank You' tour which I'm undertaking as part of our transitioning-out formalities. Also, I have taken the decision to institute a dusk to dawn curfew in the state immediately. Accordingly, there would be no movement between the hours of 7.00 p.m. and 7.00 a.m. everyday till further notice. We urge the citizenry to be vigilant and provide the security agencies with details of suspicious activities that can undermine the peace in our state.

Let us work together to stop the violence and brigandage that has brought about serious embarrassment to our state in the last few days.

Let Peace Reign in the land of honour, Ekiti State.

God bless Ekiti State.
God bless the Federal Republic of NIGERIA.

Dr. Kayode Fayemi
Governor, Ekiti State

Latest Report On SCOAN Tragedy :Family of Deceased Zimbabwean Woman Claims TB Joshua Lied To Them

A DESPERATE Bulawayo woman, Catherine Ndlovu, who allegedly paid thousands of dollars to visit Nigeria, seeking divine intervention for her hospitalised daughter has been reported as one of the 115 people confirmed to have died after the collapse of a church building owned by the pastor, TB Joshua.

Yesterday, the family of Ndlovu, 40, accused TB Joshua and his church of giving very little information concerning their sister in the aftermath of the September 12 disaster, including insisting that the mother of two was unharmed and would be returning home alive.

South African Chronicle quoted Ndlovu's brother Jabulani as saying that, "we called them (TB Joshua church) every day, asking where my sister was and they said she had boarded a plane back to South Africa and would be back last Sunday.

"We became suspicious when other Zimbabweans who had travelled to Nigeria came back via South Africa and she was not part of the group. It became clear they'd been lying to us and withholding information from us all along."

Ndlovu became the second Zimbabwean to have allegedly died in the disaster after Greenwich Ndanga, the MDC-T chairman for Mashonaland West, was reported to be among the dead by his family.

At least 84 South Africans were allegedly killed and dozens trapped when the multi-storey guesthouse attached to TB Joshua's Synagogue Church of All Nations caved in.
However, Joshua claimed it was a conspiracy, insisting that a mysterious plane flew, four times, too close to the structure causing the collapse.

TB Joshua, who inspired an almost fanatical devotion from his thousands of followers around the world, who were drawn to his services by claims of miracles and prophecies, had offered to hold services in South Africa once every month, claiming that six out of every 10 visitors to Nigeria from Southern Africa were coming to his church.

But the youth wing of South Africa's ruling African National Congress, yesterday, demanded that he be denied a visa.

"TB Joshua should not be allowed to come to South Africa until we know what happened to our fellow countrymen at his church," ANC Youth League spokesperson Bandile Masuku said in a statement.

"We will engage with the department of international relations and co-operation to make sure they do not issue him with a South African visa."

Ndlovu's family said she left Zimbabwe on September 11, a day after her 19 year-old daughter, Prioress Tshuma, who had suffered from seizures since 2007, was admitted at Mpilo Central Hospital. She believed the seizures were caused by an evil spirit, and hoped TB Joshua would heal her.

It would have been just hours after she touched down in the Nigerian capital, Lagos, before her life was snuffed out by falling concrete blocks and cement dust – leaving a daughter in hospital and a nine-year-old son, Progress Sibanda, orphaned.

Their uncle, Jabulani, was battling with a lot of questions and accused the church of attempting a clumsy cover-up.

"When we heard news of the collapse, we feared the worst. There was no communication from the church until my cousin, who lives in South Africa, called them.

"They just put up a wall of lies and kept telling us she was safe. It would be only several days later that they confirmed our worst fears," he said.

But the family's hope of getting Catherine's body any time soon were immediately dashed after TB Joshua's aides asked them to provide a DNA sample for positive identification.

"We don't even know if that's true, and our only hope now is that our government can get to the bottom of this. Who knows how many other Zimbabweans have been kept in the dark about their relatives' fate?"

TB Joshua had been heavily criticized over his handling of the crisis, with aide workers saying they were prevented from accessing the disaster area for several days.

The preacher, however, rejected the lack of co-operation claims as inaccurate.

Instead, he said that "contrary to this, we want to categorically state that the church has provided assistance when and where required and continues to do so: good Christians are good citizens," he added.

Warri Pastor loses wife and 4 kids to midnight fire

Parish Pastor John Kayode of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Otumara, Warri in Delta State has lost his wife and four kids to a midnight fire which destroyed the mission house at Emiko Close, Angle park, part of the main church building and property worth millions of naira.

A neighbor, Bright December, who narrated the tragedy to journalists, said all rescue efforts of those who came early enough were fruitless because of the iron protectors on their door.

"Last night at about 11pm, some men were going around, it was like they noticed there was light problem, they were like trying to trace where the fault could have come from. On the long run, they came like three times and since they couldn't get where the fault was coming from, they left. At about midnight to 12:30am, I heard the woman screaming for help, so we came out.

"When I got there, I saw the last daughter of the pastor, standing very close to the louvres, banging on them. There was no way I could help, I saw one rubber out there with which I started scooping water to put out the fire. Later on I saw the woman (pastor's wife), struggling with the door, like a middle wooden door, she was shouting for help while she was trying to open it.

The three other children could not be seen struggling at all, it was like they had been choked with the smoke in the house because where they slept was where we found them.

"It took like one hour before one man called fire fighters because it was midnight and we were all shouting and trying to see how to rescue them. It took another one hour before the fire fighters came. By this time, the woman had died, even the little girl. The little girl was found dead close to the window because she was just there banging, but there was no way we could help.

"The windows and the doors were all guarded with protectors, it was difficult to go through, if not we would have broken through to rescue them. It took about another fifteen minutes after I came out before we couldn't hear their voices again", December narrated.

Mrs Margeret Ichibo, a church member, also said "I left the Church after prayers with her (Kayoda) on Wednesday. That was in the day. I rushed back few minutes to 1a.m., and fire fighters were just labouring to break in, but it was too late.

"National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, personnel tried to evacuate the bodies, but we advised that police be informed first.

"By the time police came, NEMA had switched off their phones. It took the courage of youths in the neighbourhood and some of the fire service to bring out the bodies between 5am and 6am.

"The bodies have been deposited at the Warri Central Hospital Mortuary."
